Terms of service
Questions about this page? Write to support@presenter.video.
01The beta
Presenter.video is in an invite and approval beta. Anyone can create an account, but we approve accounts in small groups and may decline or pause an account at our discretion. Features, limits and prices can change while we learn, and the service may sometimes be slow or unavailable. We will tell you about changes that affect you.
02Your account
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including the work of any teammates you add to it.
03Faces, voices and consent
A presenter is built from a photo and a voice recording you upload. You may only upload a face or voice that is yours, or that you have clear, documented permission to use. When you add a presenter you confirm that:
- you are the person shown and heard, or that person has agreed, in writing, to their likeness and voice being used this way;
- you hold any other rights needed for the photo and recording, such as the photographer's or a recording's rights;
- you will tell us and stop using the presenter if that permission is withdrawn.
We may ask for proof of consent at any time and may refuse or remove a presenter if we are not satisfied. We remove a presenter promptly if the person it depicts asks us to.
04What you may not make
You may not use Presenter.video to create or publish videos that:
- impersonate a real person, or put words in a real person's mouth, without their permission;
- are presented as real news, statements or events in a way meant to mislead viewers;
- sexualize anyone, or involve minors in any harmful or sexual way;
- harass, threaten, defame or encourage violence against anyone, or promote hatred against protected groups;
- promote fraud, scams, dangerous activities or illegal goods and services;
- infringe someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- break the law or the rules of the platform you publish on, including YouTube's policies on synthetic content.
You are responsible for the scripts you submit and for how you publish the results. Where a platform asks you to label altered or synthetic media, label it.
05Ownership and licence
Your scripts, uploads and finished videos remain yours. You may publish, monetize and use your finished videos commercially, subject to these terms and to your having the rights described above.
You give us a limited licence to store, process and transmit your content only as needed to run the service for you: to build your presenters, make your videos, keep them in your library and support you. We do not use your face, voice or videos to advertise Presenter.video without asking you first.
The Presenter.video software, brand and website remain ours.
06Minutes and payment
Plans give you minutes of finished video. When you start a video we hold an estimate based on its word count, and when it finishes we charge its real length and return the rest. If a video fails, the minutes held for it are returned. Plan minutes reset each billing month; extra minutes stay on your balance until used.
During the beta, minutes are added to your account by an admin and no card is charged. When payments open we will publish prices and any payment terms before you are asked to pay.
07Third-party services
Presenter.video relies on other companies to run, including providers of hosting, storage, presenter video, voice and image generation. Their services can change or fail, and some results depend on them. We choose them carefully but cannot promise they will always be available or produce a particular result.
08Suspension and ending
You can stop using Presenter.video and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or is used to make prohibited content, and we may remove content that breaks them. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why first.
09No warranty and limits of liability
The beta is provided as it is. AI-generated video can contain mistakes, odd frames or visuals that do not match what you intended, so review every video before you publish it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost revenue, lost views or channel penalties, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service grows. If a change is significant we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect; continuing to use Presenter.video after that means you accept the new terms. For anything about these terms, write to support@presenter.video.
